What is a template?

Templates allows you to create multiple instances of dashboards for a group of users. Their dashboards will have the same content but will be scoped by each user's code, so each person will only see the data relevant to their set of drivers, customers, etc.

Create a dashboard from template step by step:

  • Go to dashboards and click on the 'Create Dashboard' button in the upper right hand corner of the page

  • Select the option 'From template'

  • From the drop down list of templates choose one that you wish to use

NOTE: If you don't have any templates, email us at [email protected]

  • Enter a dashboard title

  • Select one of the access options

    • Private - visible just to you (you can change it later in dashboard settings)

    • Admin only - visible to all admins

    • User - visible to the selected users and to the admins.

    • Public - visible to everyone

  • Using a pre-set list of variable filters, set the filters that will display all data relevant to this particular user - remember to also de-select the default filter! Click 'Update' and then 'Create'

  • The new dashboard will appear on your index screen with a 'Created from Template' tag.
