Access to FleetOps

Once you have completed SSO setup, access to FleetOps is fully controlled from your Microsoft admin account. The groups you've added will determine who can login to FleetOps.

User roles & permissions will continue to be managed within FleetOps. Read about roles & permissions.

By default all users are assigned the 'Viewer' role in FleetOps.

User Management

Once SSO is enabled, the Users screen will contain the list of users from the groups added during setup.

To add users to FleetOps,

  • Update the group that has been given access to FleetOps from your Azure directory with the new users.

  • Note that when added, they will be assigned the 'Viewer' role by default.

To change their roles & share content,

  • Go to Settings -> Users

  • Search and select the user you want to manage

  • Click on 'Send Reminder'

  • Click 'Send' to confirm.

This will send them an email reminding them to log in to FleetOps

Sharing content

You do not have to go the Users screen to share content. You can always share the report or dashboard from their settings. Read how. Sharing content using this method will send an email reminder if the user has not logged into FleetOps yet.

For Existing Users

After SSO is enabled, existing users will be signed out of their accounts and will have to sign in using Microsoft.

FAQs on User Management

Can I add external users with SSO?

To add external users, you will need them directly to your Azure Directory as guest users and then add them to the group which has access to FleetOps.

A user was added with a new email address when enabling SSO. They cannot see the content they used to.

Please request a migration by emailing support@fleetops.com if a user is added with different email address from what they previously used to access FleetOps.
