Edit a dashboard created from a template

  • Open the dashboard created from template

  • From the dashboard menu, click on 'Configure Variables'


  • Make changes to the filters as needed and click 'Update'



Edit all dashboards created from a template

If you would like to change the layout or add a new filter to all your dashboards created from a template, you can do so using the following steps:

  • Find the dashboard template by filtering for 'Template' in the dashboards index screen. A dashboard template is indicated by a tag which reads 'Template'


  • In the dashboard template, the menu has options to 'Edit'. Saving any changes made at this stage will give you a warning that the change will update all the dashboards created from that template.

  • Edit filters for all dashboards by clicking on 'Variable Filters' option from the dashboard menu.


  • To add a new variable filter, add the filter you want to the gadget in the dashboard and then update the filter for all the dashboards from the 'Variable Filters' option.

  • Click on the 'Edit' icon next to the variable filter


  • This will give you the option to update that filter for all dashboards created from the template
