What Data Manager is and what an Admin can do from it — metrics, datasets, defaults, and core metrics.

What is the Data Manager?

The Data Manager is the central place for Data Governance within FleetOps. From here, Admins can manage all metrics and datasets.

It lets you do the following:
​

  • Create new metrics
    ​

  • Edit existing metrics
    ​

  • Change the default display names of datasets & fields
    ​

  • Change the default view of raw data grids
    ​

  • Edit default settings of fields
    ​

  • Set metrics as 'core' so they are promoted in the metric picker and are easier to find when building reports and dashboards.
