Edit filters on dashboard gadgets

How to edit filters on dashboard gadgets, including the limited edit mode on template-based dashboards.

Edit Filters on gadgets within standard dashboards

  • Click on menu in the top right hand corner of the gadget you wish to update and click 'Edit Filters'

  • Change date range using available date picker

  • Add or change run time filters

  • Edit or add scope to the gadget

  • Save the changes.

Edit scope within a dashboard created from a template

  • Dashboards created from templates don't have full edit filters mode. They are dependent on a template, so if you wish to make big changes on a dashboard created from a template, such as change a default date or a default run time filter, you need to edit the templates. Changes will be automatically applied to all dashboards created from that template.

  • However, you can change a scope applied to an individual dashboard created from a template. To do so, click the menu on the top right hand corner of a dashboard and select: configure variables.

  • Select, deselect or exclude variables from the dashboard and click 'update'. This change will be applied across all the gadgets
