With the gadgets settings you can for instance:

Add a new metric or remove a metric
Change the default sort order.
To access gadget settings:
Open the dashboard with a matrix gadget you need to edit
From the gadget's menu that appears on hover over, click on 'Edit Filters'
Gadget Settings
The panel on the left lets you do the following:
Change display name on metrics
Reorder metrics by dragging and dropping them on the list
Delete metric by clicking on the 'X' icon next to each metric. This will remove the column from a matrix gadget
Click on the metric dropdown to change the selected metric or edit the metric settings
Use the 'Sort by' toggle to sort the matrix gadget by a specific metric, for example Total Trucks. Scroll down to the 'Sort by' settings to specify the order in which you would like to sort. (ascending, descending)
Use the 'Dimensions' dropdown to change the field that you want to group by.
To enable the comparison cell on a metric, select the desired option from the 'Cell comparison' dropdown.
In case of a large number of rows, you can limit them. We usually limit the number of rows to 1,000.
You can also edit the default date filters, scope & run time filters from this pop-up.
To save the edits to your gadget, make sure to click 'Save'.
The safest way to try out these options is to create a copy of a dashboard which you wish to edit and test the changes on the copy.
