Edit a resource detail screen

If you are an Admin, you can customize the information displayed for each resource for your organization. To do this:

  • Go to 'Data Manager' -> 'Entities'


  • Click on the hyperlink of the resource you wish to edit.

  • You will be presented with an interface similar to workspaces which lets you add dashboards as tabs.


  • Editing the content is exactly the same as editing dashboards with the only difference being the toggle in the gadget settings to filter the gadget by the selected resource e.g. driver or truck


  • This setting is on by default and can be toggled off if you wish to show any information for all resources next to the information for an individual.

To add tabs to the resource screen

  • Click on the 'Add Tab' button in the top right of the screen.


  • Choose between creating a new dashboard or copying an existing one.



To remove or reorder tabs to the entity screen:

  • Click on the chevron next to the 'Add Tab' button on the detail screen.


  • In the resulting dropdown, click on the 'X' to remove the tab and click and drag the drag handle on the left to reorder the tab



FAQ

Can I edit the information displayed in the search results?

Not currently, as this is in Beta we are actively gathering feedback - to customize the information shown on the search screen, please contact support@fleetops.com.



Can I control access to the resource detail screens?

We currently do not have access controls on the entity screens. However, the 'Search' feature is only accessible to users with the 'Admin' role. All other roles can only drill down to the entity screen from the links available on their dashboard or report.
